Notglissa, the zBrush 4 Study by SteveArgyle Notglissa, the zBrush 4 Study by SteveArgyle
So, zBrush 4 and my MtG assignment for "Glissa, the Traitor" came in at roughly the same time. What began as a little tinkering with the new brushes and such evolved into a "study" that isn't too far off a finished illustration.

zBrush rocks like a hurricane made of digital clay. I'd have babies with it if I could.

Glissa, Phyrexia, Mirrodin, MtG, and all that jazz are copyright Wizards of the Coast. Image copyright Steve Argyle.

Hot tub filled with "Tarnish-B-Banished" provided by "Curious Combinations Specialty Services: Seriously, We Won't Ask Any Questions. Guaranteed."

;) I face the same issue with traditional mediums... heaven help my grudgy old art teachers who wanted 'sketches' when I get my hands on the real tools for digital art. Oh... wait. Lucky for them, they'll never have to know.

You always do such amazing things. I know DA.com and all its members are proud that you put your work up here for everyone to see (and study). Heart you, Sir. The world would be quite lame without you.

The folks who do know haven't said yet. I imagine there will be some story to explain it before too long.

I sense that would be one fatal headbutt, the cheeks are particularly frightening.

Her face looks like a mask, which is quite interesting. Her hair looks like hair without looking like hair, which is good because her face is a face without looking like a face.

I prefer Mudbox over Zbrush. I have found Zbrush to be twitchy and it's menu system gives me a headache.

I did the Mudbox to zBrush and back again thing as they leapfrogged each other with each release. But, since zBrush has free upgrades forever, it eventually won out for me.
