This painting made it to about three-quarters complete as a bit more run-of-the-mill "ninja silohoutted against moonlit clouds. And I just wasn't digging it. As freelance art is my everyday job, there are unfortunate, inevitable, "phone-it-in" paintings, that might not be awesome, but you've got a deadline. This was tumbling down the hillside of non-awesome, with an impending crash with the lameness valley below.

Then the snow idea occured to me, perhaps because I come from a place that is burried in snow for half of the year, and looking out my window, all I see is blinding white nothing. But adding all that snow, and changing the ninja to white, really made a huge difference in this piece.

I will have you all note that I refrained from putting skis and Oakley goggles on her. There's not even a secret ski lift off in the background. That you can see at this resolution, anyway...
